We adopted our dog “Augie” from The Boulder Humane Society. He was a “raw recruit” with a lot of baggage. Lauren was a really great trainer who made me feel extremely comfortable asking questions and getting advice for how to deal with my sweet, dominant, fun loving dog. She has a calm, strong  presence which was very good for me and my dog! Lauren was really able to step in and show me what I was doing wrong and support me with what I was doing right with developing a relationship with my dog. She taught me how to keep the training fun for me and my girl so neither one of us got stressed or frustrated. It was really helpful to have her send written notes after each session so I had something to refer back to what we had gone over in each session. I highly recommend Lauren for any issues of dog training from the first dog owner who just needs to learn the basics to people who have challenging dogs that really need good advice and techniques to change their dogs behavior. She is great! You will love her! Lexi and I are very grateful for all her help! She really helped me establish a close relationship with my dog who didn't particularly want to develop a relationship with me! I am a graduate of Lauren's Doggone Good Training 6 week session. I highly recommend the course to new dog owners. We have a large breed puppy and wanted to begin effective training techniques right away which is what this course has offered. I like Lauren's philosophy of using positive reinforcement first before any "corrections", thereby building a healthy relationship with our dog. Being a novice dog trainer can be overwhelming and frustrating, and Lauren is encouraging with many ideas to keep the training fun and rewarding, including treats for the owners! Haley, my 8 month old Vizsla attended the Dog Day Training course. I really enjoyed the positive reinforcement training style that Lauren teaches.  I got a real good understanding on how Haley thinks in terms of learning and obeying commands. Our biggest challenge with Haley was jumping on people, within a short period of training, that problem had completely been corrected. As with a few other “tricks” I was shown to alleviate problems we were faced with, that worked as well. Lauren gives a lot of personal one-on-one training in the classroom that helps in zoning in on your particular behavioral problems. Haley and I can’t wait to take another class!
