Private Training
One-on-one training to help you understand your dog and build a clear plan that fits your real life
Private training is where we slow things down and get clear. This is the best place to start for most dogs over five months old, especially if you’re feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or stuck. We take time to understand your dog as an individual and look at the full picture—behavior, environment, routines, and expectations.
The goal of private training isn’t just to teach commands. It’s to help you understand why your dog behaves the way they do and how to communicate more clearly. We work on practical skills that matter in daily life, whether that’s calmer walks, better behavior at home, or navigating challenges that only show up in specific situations.
Sessions usually start at Dog Gone Good Training, where we build strong foundations. As your dog progresses, we may work in real-world locations or in your home when needed. Training plans are flexible and tailored to you, so nothing feels rushed or overwhelming. This is a collaborative, thoughtful training designed to fit into your life.
Puppy Camp
A thoughtful, development-focused program that helps young puppies grow into calm, confident, social dogs
Puppy camp is designed to give young puppies the best possible start during the most critical stage of development. This program focuses on socialization, confidence-building, and teaching puppies to be calm and thoughtful, not busy or excited.
Each camp day is carefully planned to meet puppies where they are developmentally. We work on impulse control, easy obedience, and fun learning games in a small group setting, so puppies learn how to focus even with distractions around them. Along the way, they’re gently introduced to new sights, sounds, people, and environments in a way that builds confidence.
Rest is just as important as activity at this age, so puppies also practice settling and relaxing. When you pick up your puppy, you’ll take part in a group lesson so you understand what your puppy learned and how to support that learning at home. Puppy Camp is about setting up good habits early and helping families feel confident at home from the very beginning.
Day Camp
A small group day-training program that teaches dogs how to handle the real world with calmness, focus, and freedom
Day camp is for social, energetic dogs who need help learning how to navigate the real world with self-control. It’s about helping dogs grow into thoughtful, well-adjusted companions who can enjoy more freedom because they understand how to handle it.
Dogs in Day Camp spend their time training, hiking, playing, and learning to settle. They practice skills like polite walking, recall, and obedience around distractions, while also learning important life skills like impulse control and calm behavior. Small group sizes allow us to tailor the day to what each dog needs, whether that’s more structure, more confidence, or more practice out on the trails or at the hardware store.
An important part of Day Camp is training both ends of the leash. Every camp day ends with a private go-home lesson so you can see what your dog worked on and learn how to reinforce it at home. The goal is a true partnership—clear communication, shared understanding, and a dog who feels good working with you.
Pack Walks (For Day Camp Graduates)
Guided group hikes that reinforce advanced skills and reliability in a supportive pack
Pack Walks are an extension of Day Camp for dogs who are ready for more advanced, real-world practice. These guided group hikes take place at local trailheads and focus on on- and off-leash skills, calm behavior around other dogs, and continued reinforcement of training in a supportive group setting.
Because all participating dogs have completed Day Camp, Pack Walks allow for more freedom while still prioritizing safety and structure. Owners are welcome to join, making this a valuable opportunity to practice handling skills, learn to read canine body language, and build confidence together in public spaces.
Pack walks are not a standalone program. They’re designed to support dogs who already have a training foundation and want ongoing enrichment, practice, and community.
Board & Train (For Existing Clients Online)
Short-term training support that reinforces existing skills while you’re away
Board & Train is available for dogs who have already completed at least one private training session. This option is designed to reinforce existing skills and provide consistency while you’re out of town—not as a shortcut or replacement for working together.
During their stay, dogs continue practicing the skills they already know in a structured, thoughtful environment. Because the foundation is already in place, this allows for meaningful reinforcement without confusion or stress.
Board & Train works best as part of an ongoing training relationship. When your dog returns home, you’l have guidance on how to maintain progress so training continues smoothly.
